Software Engineer - Platform team
Indexed description
We are currently seeking an experienced Software Developer to join our energetic team, responsible for crafting application solutions and enhancements for our flagship product. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the ongoing development and enhancement of our SaaS platform, with a specific focus on backend applications, performance improvements, and the automation of deployments, among other important responsibilities.
Your daily life:
- Writing core platform code in C# and .NET, working day to day with AI coding agents such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot CLI.
- Finding and fixing performance bottlenecks across the whole product (slow SQL queries, memory pressure, thread-pool starvation, chatty services) and proving each improvement with measurements.
- Keeping production healthy: investigating incidents, digging through metrics, logs, traces, and memory dumps in our Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and Tempo stack, and driving issues to root cause and a lasting fix.
- Building AI-powered engineering tools (agents, MCP servers, and automations) that help our engineers triage errors, fix flaky tests, and ship faster.
- Evolving the platform we build, ship, and run on: containers and Kubernetes, GitOps deployments, CI/CD, and faster, more reliable test suites.
- Owning technical decisions end to end, from design through rollout, and working with product teams, architects, and support on the hardest technical problems across the company.
- Experience: 4+ years in backend, platform, or infrastructure engineering, with a track record of owning systems in production.
- Agentic development: Hands-on experience with Claude Code, GitHub Copilot CLI, or other CLI-based AI coding agents as part of your daily workflow.
- C# and .NET: Strong proficiency, including asynchronous code, memory behavior, and what makes code fast or slow.
- Performance mindset: Proven experience profiling and optimizing applications or databases; you trust measurements over guesses.
- SQL: Solid skills with Microsoft SQL Server; being able to read execution plans is a big plus. PostgreSQL is a plus.
- Containers: Hands-on experience with Docker; Kubernetes experience is a strong plus.
- CI/CD: Experience building and maintaining pipelines; TeamCity and Octopus Deploy are a plus but not required.
- Debugging: You enjoy hard production problems and follow them through to the root cause.
- Communication: Clear written and spoken English, the ability to explain a complex issue simply, and a willingness to mentor others on the team.
- The ability to have an impact. Good ideas come from everyone in our organization, and we are agile enough to embrace new ideas and directions.
- The opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in the rapidly growing financial services and alternative assets industry.
- A very attractive work culture in an established technology company where we take pride in our work and our people.
- A flexible work environment with opportunities for remote/hybrid work or flexible hours.
- Professional development opportunities, including learning and development initiatives covered by the company.
- Extended health insurance program for you and your family.
- Flexible benefits program with plenty of options to choose from.
- Offsite events and team-building activities.
