Overview
Our client, a leading Enterprise Retailer is seeking an Azure Cloud DevOps Engineer to support and enhance their Azure PaaS environment, including Function Apps, SAP Hybris, and customer-facing web and mobile applications. This hands-on role focuses on release engineering, CI/CD automation, and enabling agile teams to deliver software faster and more reliably.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute cross-team releases and deployments.
- Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
- Lead migration of repositories and pipelines from Azure DevOps to GitHub.
- Automate deployments, infrastructure configuration, and operational processes.
- Develop tooling and scripts using PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
- Create self-service templates and deployment patterns for development teams.
- Troubleshoot build, deployment, and release issues across multiple platforms.
- Support production releases up to 2–3 evenings per week.
- Contribute to documentation, standards, and engineering best practices.
- 2–4 years of experience in DevOps, Release Engineering, or Cloud Engineering.
- Strong Azure PaaS experience, including App Services, Function Apps, Networking, and Key Vault.
- Hands-on expertise with GitHub Actions and CI/CD automation.
- Experience coordinating releases across multiple teams and applications.
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Experience supporting applications built with technologies such as .NET, Java, Node.js, and TypeScript.
- Solid understanding of Agile development and modern software delivery practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Kubernetes, GitOps, and Argo CD experience.
- Knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
- Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience in SAFe environments.
- Familiarity with Kafka, GraphQL, Temporal, LaunchDarkly, SonarQube, Backstage, or mobile app releases.
- Drive impactful DevOps and automation initiatives at enterprise scale.
- Build self-service solutions that improve developer productivity.
- Work with modern cloud, container, and CI/CD technologies.
- Collaborate with high-performing teams delivering innovative digital commerce experiences.
