Senior DevOps Technologist

Philips HealthSuite Digital Platform is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to help build, operate, and evolve the cloud platform services that enable healthcare innovation at scale.

You will be part of a highly skilled global Cloud Operations team responsible for the end-to-end management and reliability of Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) capabilities. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your broad software engineering and cloud-operations background—including automation, scripting, security, networking, and public-cloud technologies—to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable platform services to internal and external customers.

Your role

• Design, implement, operate, and continuously improve cloud platform capabilities across IaaS and PaaS environments.
• Build and maintain automated infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment workflows using infrastructure-as-code and DevOps practices.
• Apply Site Reliability Engineering principles to improve service availability, scalability, observability, performance, incident response, and operational resilience.
• Collaborate with software engineering, platform engineering, security, network, and product teams to deliver secure, reliable, and developer-friendly platform services.
• Embed security-by-design and DevSecOps practices across the platform lifecycle, including identity and access management, vulnerability remediation, secure configurations, and software supply-chain controls.
• Develop and enhance monitoring, logging, alerting, dashboards, operational documentation, and runbooks.
• Lead technical troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and post-incident improvement initiatives; identify and automate opportunities to reduce operational toil.
• Contribute to the evolution of DevOps, SRE, and security culture through technical leadership, knowledge sharing, and mentoring of colleagues.

You’re the right fit if

• You have 10+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
• You have 5+ years of hands-on experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Cloud Operations, or a comparable discipline.
• You have strong practical experience with public-cloud environments, preferably AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
• You have proven experience designing or operating cloud-native platforms, including containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automation, and configuration management.
• You bring strong scripting and automation skills, as well as a solid understanding of networking, security, and operating-system fundamentals; Windows experience is an advantage.
• You understand and actively apply DevOps, SRE, and security mindsets: shared ownership, automation, continuous improvement, reliability, observability, blameless learning, and security by design.
• You have experience with incident management, root-cause analysis, operational readiness, service-level objectives, and reliability improvements in production environments.
• You communicate clearly and confidently in spoken and written English and can collaborate effectively with global, cross-functional technical stakeholders.
• You are proactive, analytical, customer-focused, and comfortable working on complex technical problems in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience operating platforms that support healthcare, regulated, enterprise, or other mission-critical workloads.
• Relevant certifications in AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, cloud security, or SRE.
• Experience with GitOps, platform self-service, developer portals, and modern observability tooling.
• Experience working in a global product and engineering organization.
