In this Infrastructure Network Engineer role, you'll work on a classroom setup for an advanced radar system. Multiple student workstations are connected to an instructor station, allowing operators to train with realistic radar software and scenarios.
You'll be responsible for turning this concept into a fully functioning physical setup. This means setting up computers and switches, connecting and configuring the network, installing Red Hat Linux systems and software packages, and automating configurations with Ansible.
You'll work closely with software engineers and other technical specialists, combining hands-on infrastructure work with system integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
What you'll be doing as an Infrastructure Network Engineer:
- Setting up computers, switches, and cabling
- Installing and configuring Red Hat Linux systems
- Configuring networks for the training environment
- Installing and maintaining large software packages
- Automating installations with Ansible
- Integrating radar software into the complete setup
- Supporting system testing and troubleshooting
- Providing technical IT support to the team
- Creating user and installation documentation
What you need to be successful as an Infrastructure Network Engineer:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or similar
- Experience with Linux, preferably Red Hat
- Knowledge of network installation and configuration
- Experience setting up computers and switches
- Hands-on experience with cabling and connectivity
- Experience installing large software packages
- Knowledge of Ansible or similar automation tools
- Able to troubleshoot hardware, network, and software
- Strong communication skills in English
- Experience with C, C++, or Python is a plus
