DevSecOps Engineer

Role Purpose

Support pipeline, gate, deployment and evidence integration for the squad by adopting existing DevSecOps foundations - explicitly without duplicating the foundation stream.

Key Responsibilities

• Integrate squad deliverables with existing CI/CD pipelines, quality gates and dashboards.
• Support build, deployment and environment needs across the sprint cadence.
• Surface build/deployment evidence, security evidence and operational readiness artefacts.
• Apply dependency scanning, SBOM and security gate outputs within squad delivery.
• Work with the DevSecOps initiative for handoffs, RACI and metrics - consume, don't rebuild.
• Support observability and monitoring integration for squad outputs.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong CI/CD engineering (Azure DevOps, Jenkins or GitHub Actions).
• Containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Infrastructure-as-code and environment automation.
• Security tooling integration: dependency scanning, SAST/SCA, SBOM.
• Scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and Git-based workflows.
