Senior GCP DevSecOps Engineer

Location: Sheffield or Birmingham

Working Pattern: Hybrid, 3 days per week in the office

We are looking for an experienced Senior GCP DevSecOps Engineer to join a large, highly regulated financial services organisation. You will play a key role in building, securing and operating enterprise-scale Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain secure, scalable solutions across GCP
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Work extensively with Kubernetes/GKE and containerised environments
• Embed security controls and guardrails across cloud platforms
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Support cloud IAM, networking, monitoring and logging
• Drive DevSecOps, automation and cloud security best practices
• Support security, compliance, risk and audit requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on GCP / Google Cloud Platform Experience
• Excellent Terraform and Infrastructure as Code knowledge
• Strong Kubernetes / GKE Experience
• Solid DevOps / DevSecOps / SRE background
• Experience with cloud security, IAM and compliance
• CI/CD Experience with tools such as Cloud Build, GitOps, FluxCD or Helm
• Scripting/programming Experience with Python, Go or Bash
• Experience working within large-scale enterprise environments
