Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of modern cloud-based solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technical leader who enjoys building scalable applications, guiding engineering teams, and leveraging the latest AWS technologies to solve complex business challenges.
The ideal candidate combines deep cloud expertise with strong software engineering skills in Java, Node.js, and Python, along with a passion for mentoring teams and delivering high-quality solutions.
What You'll Do
Cloud Architecture & Solution Design
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions on AWS.
- Develop cloud-native architectures that support business growth and application performance.
- Evaluate and recommend cloud technologies, services, and best practices.
- Lead the development of modern cloud applications using Java, Node.js, and Python.
- Build and support microservices-based applications and RESTful APIs.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver high-quality, maintainable code.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to development and operations teams.
- Drive engineering best practices, code quality standards, and architectural decision-making.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor across cross-functional teams.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure and applications.
- Improve system reliability, scalability, and overall performance.
- Identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiency.
- Implement cloud security best practices and governance standards.
- Ensure solutions meet compliance, risk management, and operational requirements.
- Promote secure software development practices throughout the development lifecycle.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments using tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
- Drive infrastructure-as-code and deployment automation initiatives.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Partner closely with product owners, architects, engineers, and business stakeholders.
- Contribute to cloud strategy, roadmaps, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8+ years of overall IT experience.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud computing and software development.
- Strong experience designing and supporting solutions within AWS.
- Expertise with AWS services such as:
- EC2
- S3
- Lambda
- RDS
- Other core AWS platform services
- Strong programming experience in:
- Java
- Node.js
- Python
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies including:
- Docker
- Kubernetes
- Experience with DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- AWS Certifications, such as:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- AWS Certified Developer
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
- Experience working in hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience leading technical teams and mentoring engineers.
- Work on large-scale cloud transformation initiatives.
- Lead the development of modern cloud-native applications.
- Collaborate with talented engineering and architecture teams.
- Influence technical strategy and drive innovation.
