Indexed description
What we're looking for
- Strong English Fluency. All work will be done in English.
- Experience managing contractors or employees
- A track record of setting clear expectations and getting projects delivered on time
- Clear, confident written communication, since most of the work happens over email
Video editing experience is a huge plus. You'll know the terminology, know how to give creative notes to editors, and be able to jump in on light edits.
Projects
We work with a group of talented contract video editors. That lets us scale with our project flow and work with great editors who prefer contract work. You'll be the person who keeps it all running. You'll own post-production from start to final delivery, and make sure every client has a great experience with us along the way.
We're a small team, so this is a leadership role in one of the most important parts of our creative process. You'll be the point person for making sure the final product really shines. We value what you bring, and we're not looking to micromanage. We trust you to own your work.
Responsibilities
- Keep track of every project in post and keep timelines moving
- Manage our contract editors by setting clear expectations and deadlines
- Source and onboard new editors depending on project needs and availability
- Review cuts and give notes before anything goes to a client
- Send videos to clients, clarify feedback, generally make sure the video edits match their expectations and needs
- Handle quick fixes yourself when that's faster than sending them back, like reformatting a video or adding captions
Compensation
$2,000 - 2,500USD per month, depending on experience and fit
- 14 days of paid time off per year
- Full-time, independent contractor role (about 40 hours per week)
- Paid monthly
- This role doesn't include health insurance or other benefits
