About ADDiTEC

ADDiTEC develops metal additive manufacturing systems and produces parts for commercial, industrial, aerospace, defense, and government customers. We are hiring a hands-on IT and Systems Specialist to support employees at our Palm City and Durham facilities and help establish reliable, secure business systems as the company grows.

Position Summary

This in-person role owns day-to-day IT support and administration, including Microsoft 365, devices, networks, access, backups, and vendor coordination. The specialist will also serve as the technical administrator for ADDiTEC’s planned Odoo (ERP) implementation, working with Finance, Operations, Engineering, R&D, Quality, and external implementation and security partners. The role supports cybersecurity and CMMC readiness; accountability for compliance decisions and formal assessments remains with company leadership and qualified advisors.

Key Responsibilities

IT Support and Infrastructure

  • Provide responsive support for employees in Palm City and Durham; set up and troubleshoot laptops, workstations, printers, mobile devices, and business applications.
  • Administer onboarding and offboarding, accounts, permissions, licenses, and the IT asset inventory.
  • Maintain LAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls, VPN, connectivity, and any servers or local storage; coordinate repairs and service with vendors.
  • Document system configurations, network diagrams, administrative access, and recovery procedures.

Microsoft 365 and Security

  • Administer Microsoft 365, including Entra ID, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive; manage multifactor authentication and role-based access.
  • Configure and maintain device and endpoint protections, patching, encryption, monitoring, backups, and recovery tests with the company’s IT and security partners.
  • Help establish file sharing and document access rules for company, customer, and project information.
  • Maintain cybersecurity procedures and evidence needed for applicable contract requirements, including CMMC and NIST SP 800-171, under the direction of company leadership and qualified advisors.
  • Help define and enforce approved environments and access restrictions for controlled information; do not place restricted project data in a system until its use has been reviewed and authorized.

Odoo (ERP) and Business Systems

  • Support Odoo (ERP) implementation, configuration, user access, data migration, training, and ongoing administration alongside the implementation partner and business process owners.
  • Work with Finance, Procurement, Inventory, Production, Sales, and project teams to document workflows and resolve system issues.
  • Support barcode-based inventory transactions that capture item, quantity, person, project, department, and location as required.
  • Maintain integrations, reporting, and change documentation; test updates before deployment and escalate accounting or process decisions to the responsible business owner.

Engineering, Quality, and Automation

  • Partner with Engineering and Quality to support controlled access to drawings, revisions, procedures, and quality records within approved systems.
  • Support digital records and audit preparation for ADDiTEC’s quality management processes.
  • Evaluate automation and enterprise AI tools with business owners; test practical uses and apply company security and data-handling rules before deployment.

Qualifications

  • Approximately 3–7 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related role, with demonstrated ownership of user and device support.
  • Practical experience administering Microsoft 365, identity and access, Windows endpoints, and basic networking; familiarity with Intune and endpoint security is preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot independently, document work clearly, manage vendors, and communicate effectively with nontechnical employees.
  • Experience with ERP implementation or administration, ideally Odoo, is preferred; manufacturing inventory and barcode workflows are a plus.
  • Exposure to CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, ISO 9001, or regulated customer environments is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, cybersecurity, information systems, engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent practical experience and certifications are welcome.

Work Location and Travel

This is an in-person role based in Palm City, Florida. Approximately 25–30% travel to the Durham, North Carolina facility is expected, with occasional additional travel as business needs require.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid time off, and company holidays.
