The ERP Support & Reporting Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the organization’s ERP system as well as providing SQL-based reports to company stakeholders. This role serves as the primary point of contact for ERP users and partners closely with business departments to ensure the platform effectively supports operational needs. The ideal candidate brings strong ERP application experience, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to develop SQL queries and reports that support business reporting and data analysis. While this is not a software development position, proficiency with SQL and reporting tools is required.

Key Responsibilities

ERP Administration & Support

  • Administer and support the organization's ERP system and related applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve ERP issues, working directly with on-site and remote users and software vendors as needed.
  • Maintain user accounts, security roles, and system access permissions.
  • Coordinate testing and implementation of ERP upgrades, enhancements, and patches.
  • Assist departments with ERP functionality, process improvements, and user training.

Reporting & Data Analysis

  • Develop and maintain SQL queries, reports, and data extracts to support business operations.
  • Create and modify SSRS reports, dashboards, and other reporting tools.
  • Respond to user requests for operational, financial, manufacturing, inventory, and customer reporting.
  • Analyze ERP data and assist management with data-driven decision making.
  • Business Process Support
  • Work with business users to identify opportunities to improve ERP processes and system utilization.
  • Document procedures, report specifications, and system configurations.
  • Assist with data validation, data corrections, and system audits.
  • Support integration between the ERP system and related applications.

Reporting Structure

  • Reports To: Customer Success Director
  • Direct Reports: None

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Systems, or related field (required)
  • ERP-specific training or certifications (e.g., Chempax, SAP, Oracle) strongly preferred

Required Experience

  • 3+ years of ERP support experience.
  • Strong Microsoft SQL Server query development skills.
  • Experience creating and maintaining business reports using SQL and SSRS.
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into meaningful reports and data solutions.
  • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
  • The ability to translate technical processes into language that non-technical users can understand

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with ERP systems as they relate to the chemical manufacturing industry.
  • Experience with Datacor Chempax or similar ERP platforms.
  • Understanding of ERP security and role-based access controls.
  • Experience with Power BI.
  • Experience with Visual Basic, C Sharp, or other programming languages.
  • Experience with BarTender and labeling systems.

  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Lifting/pushing/pulling up to 25 lbs.
