🚀 The DMV Information Systems Division Is Hiring an IT Specialist II! 🚀

Are you ready to design and build technology that millions of Californians rely on every day? DMV’s Information Systems Division (ISD) is seeking a highly motivated IT Specialist II to join our Operations Systems Section within the Enterprise Applications Branch.

ℹ️ In this expert‑level role, you’ll shape and support modern, mission‑critical applications — including Salesforce-based solutions like Employer Pull Notice (EPN) and Case & Resource Investigations Management System (CRIMS), along with other SaaS and COTS platforms. You’ll drive system architecture, lead technical solutions, mentor teams, and partner across business and technical units to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure enterprise applications.

⚙️What You’ll Do:

  • Lead complex IT projects as a Technical Architect, Analyst, or Team Lead
  • Design, develop, configure, test, implement, and maintain modern business applications
  • Manage multi‑environment SaaS and COTS systems, releases, patches, and enhancements
  • Oversee system monitoring, change management, incident resolution, and user administration
  • Architect and support cloud, enterprise, and service-oriented solutions
  • Mentor team members and collaborate with cross-functional groups
  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies and present insights to leadership

🎯Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Technical Lead, Solution Architect, Systems Analyst, or similar role
  • Strong background developing and optimizing custom, COTS, and SaaS platforms
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce, MuleSoft, DevOps tools (e.g., Copado), AWS, etc.
  • Ability to triage issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement code fixes or patches
  • Strong requirements gathering and business analysis skills
  • Experience working in Agile environments using ALM tools
  • Ability to create architecture diagrams, process flows, and system designs
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Exceptional analytical, creative problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and partner with cross-functional teams
  • Balanced business and technical perspective
  • Skilled at presenting technical concepts to peers and leadership

If you’re passionate about building secure, scalable, and user‑centric enterprise systems — and you’re excited to lead innovation within a major statewide organization — we invite you to apply and help shape the future of California’s public services.
