Requirements:

  • Senior-level engineer with 4+ years of professional experience.
  • Proven hands-on experience implementing PostHog in production on multiple projects.
  • Strong full-stack development experience with React, JavaScript, TypeScript, and server-side events.
  • Solid knowledge of product analytics, event tracking, identity resolution, funnels, cohort analysis, and retention analysis.
  • Experience configuring session replay, feature flags, A/B testing, and PII protection.
  • Hands-on experience with .NET, Redshift, Snowflake, User Identification, Group Analytics, Data Privacy.

Projects

We are seeking a senior PostHog Implementation Engineer for a short-term, full-time engagement. You will independently implement product analytics across a web application and backend, from discovery and tracking design through production rollout and handoff.

You will define reliable event and identity models, configure PostHog analytics, and build dashboards, funnels, and retention views. Because the product handles financial information, you will also protect personally identifiable information through careful masking and privacy configuration. The engagement is remote within LATAM, with overlap with U.S. Eastern Time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Run a focused discovery with stakeholders and define the key events, funnels, dashboards, and outcomes required for the engagement.
  • Create and document the tracking plan, including event names, properties, user identification, and group analytics where applicable.
  • Install and configure PostHog SDKs across the frontend and backend, including anonymous-to-authenticated identity resolution.
  • Build core dashboards, funnels, cohort views, and retention analyses for product and business stakeholders.
  • Configure session replay, feature flags, and A/B tests within scope, while masking sensitive personal and financial data.
  • Validate production data quality and provide documentation covering the tracking plan, event creation process, dashboard ownership, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Work independently within a fixed one- to two-week delivery window and complete a structured handoff.

Benefits

100% remote, a short and well-defined project (1–2 weeks), full-time engagement, and direct work with product and business stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with fintech products or sensitive financial data.
  • Experience with other analytics tools (Mixpanel, Amplitude, Segment).
  • Background in consulting-style, short-cycle engagements with structured handoffs.
  • Fluent English for working with U.S.-based stakeholders.
