Primary Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, document, and maintain high-quality and scalable Big Data, Cloud solutions
- Design, develop and implement analytics rules engines
- Research, evaluate, and deploy new tools, frameworks, and patterns to build sustainable Big Data platform
- Identify gaps and opportunities for improvement of existing solutions
- Define and develop APIs for integration with various data sources in the enterprise
- Analyze and define customer requirements
- Assist in defining product technical architecture
- Make accurate development effort estimates to assist management in project and resource planning
- Create prototypes, proof-of-concepts & design of AI/ML models and code reviews
- Collaborate with management, quality assurance, architecture, and other development teams
- Write technical documentation and participate in production support
- Keep skills up to date through ongoing self-directed training

Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional experience in Information Technology (IT)
- 5+ years of experience developing software applications
- 5+ years of experience developing applications using Scala, Python, JSON, and Web Services
- 3+ years of experience developing solutions hosted within public cloud providers such as Azure/AWS, etc.
- 2+ years of experience developing, deploying, and maintaining web APIs or RESTful services in a production environment
- 2+ years of experience working with distributed systems technologies such as Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, or Snowflake
- 2+ years of experience with MySQL and NoSQL databases
- 2+ years of experience in supporting Agile delivery methodologies, including backlog refinement, user story development, and sprint planning
- 2+ years of experience with AI/ML-driven solutions
- 1+ years of experience building services or full stack applications using technologies such as FastAPI, Flask, Node.js, React, Angular, TypeScript, and HTML/CSS
- Data analysis experience
- Functional testing experience
- Healthcare industry experience
- Understanding of SOA (service-oriented architecture) concepts
- Excellent analysis, process, problem solving and critical thinking skills
