The Role: Software Engineer

We are seeking high-agency, growth-minded Software Engineers to join our core team in Palo Alto. In this role, you will help design, build, and ship high-impact features that directly drive revenue for our customers and transform how healthcare organizations operate.

We move fast, iterate aggressively, and value high-throughput execution. You will work alongside seasoned founders and senior engineers in a tight-knit, high-urgency environment where your contributions directly shape our technology stack and product roadmap.

You will take ownership of core features, collaborate on key subsystems, and play an active role in building our engineering culture. You will work with modern cloud infrastructure, deep analytics tools, and AI-accelerated development environments.

What You'll Do

• Build High-Throughput Data Pipelines: Help build and optimize robust parsers and ingestion engines for complex healthcare data formats.
• Develop AI & SQL-Driven Analytics: Assist in building deep analytics engines that combine classical database optimization with modern AI-assisted workflows to automate complex denial resolutions and financial predictions.
• Ship Full-Stack Solutions: Design, build, and maintain sleek, highly responsive UI interfaces backed by robust microservices and APIs.
• Support Cloud Infrastructure: Help manage and deploy applications across multi-cloud environments, leveraging GCP and AWS.
• Leverage Modern AI Tooling: Maximize your development speed using modern AI-assisted coding tools while upholding strong standards for code quality, system architecture, and performance.

Who You Are

• Strong Core Foundations: You hold a degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) or have hands-on project/internship experience building software systems.
• You have solid fundamentals in backend engineering (databases, basic data parsing, API development) paired with a desire to build clean, intuitive UI components.
• Eager to Learn Cloud & Data: Basic familiarity with SQL, database design, and cloud platform concepts across GCP or AWS.
• Pragmatic AI Learner: You actively embrace AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate your learning and output while building a solid grasp of underlying software engineering fundamentals.

Technology Must-Haves

• Solid proficiency in Python, including coursework, projects, or professional experience using web frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI. Understanding of ORMs, databases, and background execution.
• Basic knowledge of Postgres or relational databases, including basic schema design, and query writing
• Exposure to building data ingestion, validation, or transformation scripts.
• 0–2 years of software engineering experience (including internships, co-ops, or personal projects) with a strong desire to learn and contribute to production code.

Technology Nice-to-Haves

• Hands-on experience or interest in LLM APIs (Gemini, Anthropic, OpenAI).
• Exposure to serverless batch execution or containerization (Docker, AWS Batch, CloudRun).
• Contributions to open-source projects or active personal coding portfolios.

Work Location & Culture

• Location: Palo Alto, CA (in-office 3 days/week)
• Work Style: We believe high-bandwidth collaboration, mentorship, spontaneous brainstorming, and fast execution happen best in person. We work primarily in-office out of our Palo Alto location, with flexibility for some remote work

Compensation

• $90,000 – $130,000 base salary per year + equity eligibility. Actual compensation will be determined upon hire based on candidate experience, skills, and qualifications.
