Vice President – Full Stack Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Vice President – Full Stack Engineer for a Direct Hire opportunity with a client in Pittsburgh, PA. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Java 17+, Spring Boot, Microservices, Microsoft Azure, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Kubernetes, Docker, and Angular, along with experience building scalable cloud-native applications in enterprise environments. Experience within financial services is highly preferred.

Salary Range: $150,000 to $175,000 annually; the salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors

• e:Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade full stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Angula
• r.Build scalable cloud-native microservices deployed on Microsoft Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS
• ).Design highly available, fault-tolerant, and low-latency distributed system
• s.Develop RESTful APIs and backend services supporting high-throughput application
• s.Build and integrate event-driven solutions using Kafka or similar messaging platform
• s.Collaborate with architecture, platform, product, and engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycl
• e.Drive software quality through unit testing, automated testing, TDD, and CI/CD pipeline
• s.Monitor application health using APM tools, logging, metrics, and observability solution
• s.Apply secure coding practices and DevSecOps principles throughout the development lifecycl
• e.Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design session
• s.Utilize AI-assisted development tools to improve coding, testing, debugging, and engineering productivit

y.Desired Qualification

• s:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fiel
• d.5–9 years of hands-on software development experienc
• e.Strong expertise in Java 17+, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and distributed system desig
• n.Experience developing cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azur
• e.Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Kubernetes, and Docke
• r.Experience with Angular (preferred) or Reac
• t.Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practice
• s.Experience with Kafka or other event-streaming technologies is preferre
• d.Familiarity with DevSecOps, secure coding practices, and security frameworks such as NIST 800-53 is a plu
• s.Experience working within financial services or other highly regulated industries is highly preferre
• d.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skill
