Software Engineer 4 - Contingent (contract)

Alternative Location: Charlotte, NC

Duration: 12 months

Summary:

In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering. Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors. Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables. Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.

Required Qualifications:

Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education.

4+ years of Java experience, including proficiency in Spring / Spring Boot.

2+ years of experience with Python, focused on backend or data-driven development.

Deep understanding of Reactive Programming, including WebFlux.

Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for event-driven architectures.

Experience with Flink for stream processing and data pipelines.

Database expertise with both MongoDB (NoSQL) and Oracle (RDBMS).

2+ years of experience developing and using RESTful Application Program Interfaces (APIs).

Desired Qualifications:J

3+ years of experience with Cloud technologies.

Exposure to LLMs (Large Language Models), agentic architectures, and prompt engineering concepts.

Familiarity with ADK (Agent Development Kit), Playbook, or similar agentic frameworks.
