Legal Administrative Assistant
We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant to join a well-established legal team in Pasadena. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering competitive pay and the potential for long-term employment with a growing organization. The ideal candidate will have prior experience supporting attorneys or legal professionals, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to attorneys and legal staff.
- Prepare, proofread, and format legal correspondence, pleadings, contracts, and other legal documents.
- Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, court dates, and appointments.
- Coordinate document filing, including electronic court filings (e-filing) when applicable.
- Maintain and organize physical and electronic case files.
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, phone calls, and client communications with professionalism and discretion.
- Track deadlines and ensure timely completion of legal documentation.
- Assist with document preparation for hearings, depositions, and meetings.
- Conduct basic legal research and gather documentation as requested.
- Support office operations and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of administrative experience, preferably within a legal environment.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, document preparation, and filing procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with legal case management software is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality.
