What is the position?
This Application Developer role focuses on designing, developing, and enhancing secure, cloud-based applications while supporting IT projects from planning through delivery. The position works closely with business stakeholders and technical teams in an Agile environment to solve integration challenges, improve application performance, and streamline development processes.
What are the responsibilities?
As an Application Developer, you will:
- Develop reliable, reusable, and secure application code across web, API, and cloud-based solutions.
- Partner with business and technical teams to identify challenges and translate requirements into effective software solutions.
- Build and enhance application features using technologies such as .NET, React, Angular, Node.js, and Azure.
- Participate in technical design reviews, feature demonstrations, and Agile development activities.
- Troubleshoot system integrations and optimize application, database, and front-end performance.
- Evaluate proposed applications and system changes to identify technical requirements, limitations, and implementation considerations.
- Improve development workflows through automation, source control, and Azure DevOps practices.
What are the requirements?
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline
- 2-4 years of application development experience
- Development experience in at least two areas: .NET web/API development, modern UI technologies such as React or Angular/Node.js, or Azure/other cloud platforms
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, web services, XML, JSON, HTTP, SSL, TCP/IP, and caching concepts
- Experience with SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, and database performance optimization
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git/source control, and Agile software development practices
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new programming languages, frameworks, and technologies
