JOB DESCRIPTION

Role Purpose

Develop and modernise web applications using a consistent, API-first technology stack. The role will support new product delivery, the gradual modernisation of existing systems, and the creation of reusable services that enable future data, MCP and AI integration layers.

Key Responsibilities

• Build modern web applications. Develop responsive, accessible user interfaces with TypeScript / JavaScript, React, Next.js, HTML and CSS.

• Deliver backend services. Create maintainable application services in TypeScript / Node.js or Python, with clear validation, error handling and documentation.

• Design reusable APIs and integrations. Build and consume REST APIs; connect applications, data sources, identity platforms and enterprise services.

• Modernise incrementally. Improve or replace legacy components where there is clear value, without assuming wholesale rewrites of fit-for-purpose systems.

• Own delivery quality. Use Git, automated testing, peer review and CI/CD to deliver reliable changes safely and frequently.

• Operate secure services. Deploy and support cloud-based applications with appropriate logging, monitoring, alerting, secrets management and secure coding practices.

• Standardise and reuse. Contribute shared patterns, components, libraries and service contracts that reduce duplication across projects.

• Use AI responsibly. Apply AI-assisted development tools to accelerate analysis, prototyping, coding and testing while validating outputs and protecting sensitive data

REQUIREMENT

● Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

● Minimum 5 years of experience

● Proficiency in TypeScript / JavaScript, React / Next.js, and TypeScript or Python backends.

● Ability to work collaboratively in a team

● Experience working in Agile environments

● English proficiency required for communication.
