We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with deep Amazon Redshift expertise to improve data warehouse performance, design, cost efficiency, and reliability. You will assess existing Redshift environments, optimize workloads, and build dependable pipelines for analytics and business intelligence. This role requires strong ownership and hands-on technical depth across Redshift provisioned or Serverless environments and the AWS data stack. You will work independently with stakeholders, document technical decisions, and deliver measurable improvements in a short-term, full-time engagement. Experience with fintech or other regulated data environments is valuable.Key Responsibilities
- Review the current Redshift environment and identify performance, cost, reliability, and design issues.
- Design and tune tables, including distribution keys, sort keys, compression, and Workload Management configuration.
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines into Redshift using the AWS data stack and appropriate orchestration tools.
- Optimize slow queries and reduce provisioned or Serverless Redshift costs.
- Develop data models that support analytics and BI use cases.
- Document best practices, technical findings, and implemented changes.
