As our EMEA business continues to grow, we are continuing to build our technology capability in Budapest and are looking for experienced Senior Full-Stack Python Engineers to join our team.

You’ll become part of an international engineering organisation working across Hungary, Spain and the Netherlands, collaborating closely with one of our key enterprise customers and their technology teams.

Why this role is interesting

• This is a hands-on full-stack engineering role with a strong backend focus — approximately 70% backend and 30% frontend.
• You’ll work primarily with Python and FastAPI, while also contributing to frontend development with React.js. The wider environment includes PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Azure, GraphQL, automated testing and CI/CD.
• AI is also becoming part of the team’s everyday software development lifecycle. This is not an AI Engineer role — instead, we’re looking for engineers who know how to use AI and LLM-based tools effectively to support development, problem-solving and productivity.
• Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who combines strong technical capability with ownership, accountability and excellent communication. You’ll be encouraged to ask questions, share ideas, raise challenges early and take responsibility for outcomes.

What you’ll be doing

As a Senior Full-Stack Python Engineer, you’ll:

• Design and develop backend applications and APIs using Python and FastAPI.
• Contribute to frontend development using React.js.
• Design, manage and optimise PostgreSQL databases and queries.
• Build quality into development using PyTest and Playwright.
• Work with Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform as part of the wider application and deployment environment.
• Develop and support applications running in the cloud, primarily Azure.
• Work with GraphQL APIs and modern CI/CD practices.
• Use AI and LLM-based tools effectively within your day-to-day engineering workflow.
• Troubleshoot technical challenges and contribute to technical decisions.
• Communicate progress, risks and challenges proactively.
• Collaborate with engineers and business stakeholders across teams.
• Share knowledge and support less experienced engineers where appropriate.

What kind of background works well in this role

We’d particularly like to speak with experienced engineers who bring:

• Strong hands-on Python and FastAPI experience.
• Strong backend engineering and API development experience.
• SQL/PostgreSQL experience.
• Full-stack experience with the ability to contribute to React.js development.
• Experience with automated testing, ideally PyTest and/or Playwright.
• Hands-on experience with Docker.
• Experience with a major cloud platform such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Understanding or experience of Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Experience with modern CI/CD practices and API integration.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
