Senior Python Developer

We are looking for a Senior Python Developer to join the Development Chapter of a major energy-sector company and contribute to the development of an internal application monitoring and alerting platform.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize backend solutions using Python.
• Design robust, secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
• Collaborate with business, DevOps, and Data Engineering teams.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Implement best practices for testing, code quality, and CI/CD.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Contribute to legacy code refactoring and continuous improvement.

Tech Stack

Python, FastAPI, Pydantic, AsyncIO, SQL, PostgreSQL/MSSQL, RabbitMQ, event-driven architectures, REST/API, Docker, CI/CD.

Experience with Azure Cloud, NoSQL, and Selenium is a plus.

Profile

• 6+ years of professional development experience, including 3+ years with Python.
• Strong backend development and service-oriented architecture experience.
• Good knowledge of design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Strong understanding of IT security, ideally within a critical infrastructure environment.
• Ability to provide technical leadership and mentor developers.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Good Dutch and/or French, as well as English. German is a plus.
