What you'll build

As our first Senior Principal AI & Data Platform Engineer, you'll own the intelligence layer of dataBobIQ.

You'll work closely with our frontend developers and data engineers to build a platform that combines:

• AI-powered Boardroom Q&A
• Hybrid Forecasting
• Decision Intelligence
• Financial analytics
• Recommendation engines
• Scenario modelling
• AI agents
• Secure enterprise data integrations

You'll have significant influence over the technical architecture and product direction.

Your responsibilities

• Design and build the data backend architecture of dataBobIQ
• Build AI-powered workflows using modern LLMs
• Implement RAG and agent-based architectures
• Design canonical financial data models
• Build forecasting and recommendation services
• Optimize SQL models for financial analytics
• Work with Microsoft Fabric, SQL databases, dbt, cube and other cloud services
• Integrate AI capabilities into a production SaaS platform
• Collaborate with frontend developers to deliver outstanding user experiences
• Continuously improve architecture, performance and scalability

What we're looking for

Must have

• Excellent Python skills
• Strong SQL knowledge
• Experience building backend applications
• Experience with Git and modern software development practices
• Solid understanding of data modelling
• Experience working with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)

AI Experience

You should already have hands-on experience with:

• LLM orchestration

• Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
• Embeddings and vector databases
