Technical Architect

The Technical Lead/Architect is responsible for:

○ Defining and executing the overall technical architecture and engineering strategy for the ELMo platform.

○ Defining the technical direction of the product and selecting appropriate technologies and solutions

○ Translating business objectives, product roadmaps, and user needs into scalable, maintainable, and secure technical solutions.

○ Leading technical activities across the full solution lifecycle, including discovery, architecture, design, development, integration, testing, deployment, operations, and continuous improvement.

○ Establishing engineering standards, architectural governance, and development best practices to ensure consistent, high-quality solution delivery.

○ Designing and overseeing an end-to-end DevSecOps and CI/CD delivery pipeline that supports secure, automated, and iterative software releases.

○ Providing technical leadership to developers by conducting code reviews, mentoring engineers, resolving complex technical issues, and ensuring adherence to architectural standards.

○ Contributing hands-on technical expertise through solution design, debugging, programming, software testing, and technical problem-solving when needed.

○ Making and documenting key architectural decisions while balancing business needs, technical constraints, security requirements, and long-term maintainability.

○ Leading the modernization of legacy systems by applying cloud-native architecture, modern software engineering practices, and Agile delivery principles.

○ Collaborating closely with the Project Manager, Product Owner, UX team, business stakeholders, and development teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.

○ Ensuring compliance with State security, accessibility, and technology standards while incorporating industry best practices for cloud architecture, software engineering, and DevSecOps.

○ Championing modern engineering practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, quality, automation, and technical excellence.

○ Ensuring that the technical architecture and engineering practices are sustainable and positioned to deliver long-term value beyond the implementation phase.

Agile Delivery Duties

○ Java, .NET, Node.js, React, Angular, GraphQL, and secure coding practices.

○ CRM platforms, including Salesforce.

○ DB2, SQL, and other relational database technologies.

○ Cloudflare services, edge computing, and content delivery technologies.

○ HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.

○ RESTful APIs, web services, and systems integration technologies.

○ Cloud storage platforms and distributed application architectures.

● Experience integrating modern cloud-based solutions with legacy enterprise systems.

● Demonstrated ability to analyze, understand, troubleshoot, and modernize legacy application code, including Perl, as part of application modernization and migration initiatives.

● Experience establishing technical standards, conducting architecture and code reviews, and ensuring compliance with security, performance, scalability, and maintainability best practices.

● Strong knowledge of DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, application security, and modern software delivery practices
