Position Overview
Aylstock, Witkin, Kreis & Overholtz (AWKO) is seeking a highly organized and creative Marketing Information Specialist to support the firm’s marketing, communications, lead-generation, and business-development initiatives. This position will manage communications with referral firms, oversee content developed by the firm’s third-party marketing partners, coordinate public relations initiatives, and identify effective campaign and lead-generation opportunities.
The ideal candidate is a strong writer, relationship builder, and project manager who can translate complex legal information into clear, engaging content while ensuring the firm maintains a consistent and professional brand across all communication channels.
Key Responsibilities
Website, Social Media, and Digital Marketing Oversight
- Serve as the firm’s primary liaison with its third-party marketing firm for website, social media, and digital marketing initiatives.
- Provide oversight and direction for content created and managed by the third-party marketing firm.
- Coordinate with attorneys, firm leadership, and internal departments to gather accurate and timely information for marketing content.
- Review and approve website updates, social media posts, digital campaigns, attorney biographies, practice-area pages, litigation updates, and firm announcements.
- Ensure all content is accurate, professional, consistent with the firm’s brand, and compliant with applicable legal advertising requirements.
- Maintain an internal content calendar and coordinate priorities, deadlines, approvals, and campaign launches with the third-party marketing firm.
- Monitor website traffic, social media engagement, campaign performance, and other key metrics provided by the marketing firm.
- Evaluate marketing reports and recommend content or strategy adjustments based on performance.
- Identify opportunities to promote firm news, attorney accomplishments, community involvement, events, litigation updates, and educational information.
- Ensure public inquiries and social media messages are promptly directed to the appropriate internal department.
Public Relations Coordination
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for the firm’s external public relations firm.
- Coordinate media opportunities, press releases, interviews, talking points, and firm announcements.
- Gather information from attorneys and firm leadership to support public relations initiatives.
- Review public-facing content for accuracy, tone, consistency, and brand alignment.
- Track media coverage and maintain records of press mentions, interviews, awards, and other publicity.
- Assist with reputation management and the development of timely responses to emerging issues.
- Identify opportunities to increase the firm’s visibility and promote its attorneys, practice areas, community involvement, and accomplishments.
Marketing Operations and Reporting
- Maintain organized records of marketing projects, digital assets, media contacts, vendors, content approvals, and campaign results.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines involving attorneys, staff members, referral partners, and outside vendors.
- Prepare reports on website traffic, social media performance, lead-generation campaigns, email engagement, media coverage, and marketing results.
- Maintain a centralized record of campaign budgets, vendor performance, cost per lead, conversion rates, and return on investment.
- Support the development and execution of the firm’s overall marketing and communications strategy.
- Ensure consistent use of the firm’s brand, messaging, logos, and visual standards.
- Assist with additional marketing, business-development, and firmwide communication projects as needed.
Marketing Campaigns and Lead Generation
- Assist in developing and coordinating marketing campaigns for the firm’s practice areas and litigation matters.
- Research and identify reputable lead-generation companies, campaign vendors, media buyers, and other marketing partners.
- Build and maintain relationships with lead-generation and campaign-management companies.
- Evaluate potential vendors based on lead quality, experience, compliance practices, pricing, geographic reach, reporting capabilities, and campaign performance.
- Coordinate with attorneys and firm leadership to establish campaign goals, target audiences, budgets, messaging, and performance expectations.
- Manage requests for proposals, vendor presentations, campaign proposals, contracts, and onboarding processes.
- Monitor campaign performance, including lead volume, lead quality, conversion rates, acquisition costs, and return on investment.
- Work with internal intake and case-management teams to assess lead quality and determine whether campaigns are producing qualified potential clients.
- Compare vendor and campaign performance and recommend whether campaigns should be expanded, modified, paused, or discontinued.
- Ensure all lead-generation activities and campaign materials comply with applicable legal advertising, privacy, consent, and ethical requirements.
- Stay informed about emerging marketing channels, technologies, audience trends, and lead-generation opportunities.
Referral Firm Communications
- Prepare referral-firm updates, newsletters, announcements, presentations, and marketing materials.
- Coordinate the distribution of litigation updates and other relevant information to referral firms.
- Maintain accurate referral-firm contact lists and communication records.
- Assist with referral-firm events, webinars, conferences, and relationship-building initiatives.
- Work with attorneys and firm leadership to identify opportunities to strengthen and expand referral relationships.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, business, or a related field.
- Relevant professional experience in marketing, communications, public relations, digital media, lead generation, or a similar role.
- Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project-management, organizational, analytical, and relationship-management abilities.
- Experience coordinating website, social media, email marketing, digital advertising, or lead-generation campaigns.
- Ability to evaluate campaign proposals, vendor performance, marketing analytics, and return on investment.
- Ability to provide clear direction and constructive feedback to outside vendors.
- Ability to communicate professionally with attorneys, referral partners, marketing vendors, media representatives, and firm leadership.
- Ability to manage confidential or sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and commonly used digital marketing, social media, project-management, and analytics platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, business administration, or a related field.
- Marketing or communications experience within a law firm or other professional-services organization.
- Experience identifying, evaluating, and managing lead-generation companies and marketing campaign vendors.
- Experience managing relationships with third-party marketing and public relations firms.
- Knowledge of digital advertising, media buying, search engine optimization, website analytics, social media reporting, and campaign attribution.
- Familiarity with legal advertising rules, consumer privacy requirements, and professional-services marketing.
