Marketing and Engagement AmeriCorps VISTA

Reading Partners is a national nonprofit dedicated to helping children become lifelong readers by connecting them with community volunteers and evidence-based literacy support. For more than 25 years, Reading Partners has worked alongside schools, families, and communities to expand access to high-quality literacy resources for students in historically underserved communities. As a Marketing and Volunteer Engagement Infrastructure VISTA, you will strengthen how Reading Partners reaches, engages, and mobilizes the volunteers and community partners who make our mission possible. You will build scalable digital marketing systems, create reusable content and communication resources, develop staff training tools, and establish data-driven approaches to understand what works. Your work will strengthen volunteer recruitment and engagement across Reading Partners' regions and create sustainable infrastructure that can be used beyond your service term. We are looking for a creative, organized, and collaborative individual who is excited about using marketing and communications to create social impact. Strong candidates will have excellent writing, communication, project management, and organizational skills, along with an interest in digital marketing, social media, content creation, volunteer engagement, or nonprofit communications. Experience with social media management, graphic design, video production, analytics, or digital marketing tools is a plus. During your service, you will gain experience in digital marketing strategy, content development, social media, volunteer recruitment, audience engagement, data analytics, project management, and national systems building. You will collaborate with Reading Partners staff across the country and build a portfolio of practical marketing tools and resources while contributing to a mission that helps students become lifelong readers.

Member Duties : As a Marketing and Engagement VISTA, you will assess national and regional digital outreach practices and identify opportunities to strengthen volunteer and partner recruitment; research effective social media and short-form video strategies and develop a scalable outreach framework; document marketing workflows and create editorial calendars, content tools, and training resources; develop systems for adapting national resources to local audiences; create customizable social media templates and digital outreach materials; build a shared marketing asset library; establish key performance indicators and standardized reporting using tools such as Hootsuite Enterprise and Google Analytics; develop dashboards to support data-informed decisions; analyze performance data and recommend improvements to outreach and volunteer recruitment; and gather feedback and create transition resources to sustain marketing infrastructure.
