AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time)

Position Purpose

The Social Media and Content Specialist will be responsible for developing, managing, and coordinating digital content across the social media platforms of the company’s eight businesses.

The role will work closely with the Marketing Manager to execute the overall marketing strategy and with the Creative & Design Specialist to produce engaging, consistent, and brand-aligned content.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Management

  • Manage social media accounts across the eight companies.
  • Develop and maintain social media content calendars.
  • Schedule and publish approved content.
  • Monitor comments, messages, and audience engagement.
  • Research social media trends and platform updates.
  • Ensure content is appropriate for each company’s target audience.

Content Development

  • Research and develop content ideas for each company.
  • Write social media captions and marketing copy.
  • Develop content pillars and recurring content themes.
  • Repurpose company news, projects, services, and resources into content.
  • Assist with blog articles, newsletters, email content, and website copy where required.
  • Develop concepts, scripts, and storyboards for short-form video content.

Content Coordination

  • Coordinate with the eight companies to collect:
  • Project information
  • Photos and videos
  • Company updates
  • Events
  • Announcements
  • Announcements
  • Industry news
  • Maintain an organized content library.
  • Coordinate with the Creative & Design Specialist to turn content concepts into visual assets.
  • Ensure content is reviewed and approved before publishing.

Analytics & Optimization

  • Monitor social media performance.
  • Track reach, engagement, follower growth, website traffic, and other relevant metrics.
  • Identify high-performing content.
  • Recommend improvements based on performance.
  • Assist the Marketing Manager with monthly reporting.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in social media, content marketing, digital marketing, or communications.
  • Strong writing and copywriting skills.
  • Experience managing social media platforms.
  • Understanding of social media trends and best practices.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage content for multiple brands simultaneously.

Preferred

  • Experience managing multiple social media accounts or brands.
  • Experience with B2B or corporate social media.
  • Familiarity with Canva and basic graphic design.
  • Familiarity with CapCut or other video-editing tools.
  • Experience with Meta Business Suite.
  • Experience with SocialPilot, Metricool, Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar platforms.
  • Basic understanding of SEO and email marketing.
  • Basic knowledge of social media analytics.
