Engineering Centre-of-Excellence (CoE) Lead

The Role:
As the Engineering CoE Lead, operating within our global shared engineering team, you will lead a team responsible for operation, maintenance and improvements of the internal engineering and product design platforms. Collaborating with diverse teams, you will assure accuracy, consistency and compliance of our engineering library and system. You will drive system improvements and development of engineering design automation tools. You will train engineers on proper and consistent use of our systems and audit engineers' adherence to our processes. With all activities aligned to our global CoE strategy, and in collaboration with CoE teams and management globally.
Responsibilities:
- In partnership with the Director of Core Tech & CoE, co-own global engineering design standards, CAD/DWG & BOM templates, calculators and documentation governance.
- Support and/or lead engineering systems integration and single-digital-thread strategy.
- Lead a local CoE team, set and track task allocation, progress and milestones. All in line with our global CoE strategy for engineering excellence.
- Drive engineering process maps, value streams, workflows and governance models.
- Assure accuracy, consistency and compliance of our engineering library and system.
- Organise and conduct internal engineering audits, aimed at assessing engineers' compliance with approved systems, workflows and procedures.
- Manage and govern all aspects of data points, while developing structured dashboards
- Proven experience of no less than 8 years in a design/engineering role in a similar environment (ideally data centre, construction, pharmaceuticals, semiconductor, power generation or oil & gas industry)
- Excellent knowledge of leading projects and supervising project teams.
- In-depth understanding of process/systems management while managing engineering compliance and audits
- Degree in engineering or a related discipline
- Proven ability to establish, update, and audit engineering best practices.
- Experience creating and implementing engineering SOPs.
- Good working knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality control protocols with Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) in mind.
- Proficiency in design tools and coordination software (E.g. Onshape (preferred), SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, CADWorx, Plant3D, Revit, NavisWorks).
- Proven ability to build strong, open, and honest relationships with key stakeholders.
- Experience developing new products from concept, through prototype, to production.
