Social Media & Content Growth Manager

We are an independent 20-person video game studio based in Budapest, looking for a Social Media & Content Growth Manager to take ownership of our content strategy, distribution, performance analysis and audience growth.

Our primary distribution channels are adult-oriented video and content platforms. We also maintain a presence on mainstream platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Patreon, which form a secondary part of the role.

You will work closely with our video editor and creative team. You will not be responsible for editing videos yourself, but you will actively participate in deciding what content we should produce, how it should be presented, where it should be distributed, and how we can improve its performance.

Important: Our products are intended for adult audiences (18+), and the position involves regular professional exposure to mature and sexually explicit content. Candidates must be comfortable working in this environment.

Your Responsibilities

Adult Platform Management & Distribution

This is the primary responsibility of the position.

You will:

• Manage our presence across multiple 18+ video and content platforms
• Publish and manage our video and promotional content
• Understand the specific audience, recommendation system and distribution mechanisms of each platform
• Optimize titles, descriptions, tags, categories, thumbnails, previews and publishing schedules
• Determine how content should be positioned differently from one platform to another
• Monitor platform trends, algorithm changes and new distribution opportunities
• Maintain a consistent publishing calendar
• Develop strategies to increase views, followers, engagement and traffic to our products and websites
• Monitor account performance and ensure compliance with each platform's publishing requirements

Content Strategy & Video Ideas

You will actively participate in deciding what videos we produce.

You will:

• Propose ideas and concepts for new videos
• Identify the types of videos, themes, formats and approaches that generate the strongest results
• Analyze our existing content to understand what works, what does not, and why
• Research competitors, successful creators and trends within the adult entertainment and gaming sectors
• Propose new concepts, hooks, formats and experiments
• Use audience behavior and performance data to influence future productions
• Prepare briefs and recommendations for our video editor and creative team
• Review finished videos from a distribution and performance perspective
• Create a continuous feedback loop between production → publication → analysis → new production

You will not edit the videos yourself.

A dedicated video editor handles editing and post-production.

Performance Analysis & Algorithm Optimization

A major part of the position is understanding how platforms recommend and distribute content.

You will:

• Analyze views, impressions, click-through rates, watch time, retention, engagement, follower growth, traffic and conversions
• Understand the recommendation and ranking mechanisms of our main platforms
• Identify why certain videos significantly outperform others
• Analyze viewer behavior and retention
• Test different concepts, titles, thumbnails, previews, publishing times and distribution strategies
• Compare results across platforms
• Identify patterns that can be replicated
• Turn performance data into concrete recommendations for the next videos we produce

We are not looking for someone who simply reports statistics.

We expect you to be able to say:

“This type of video performs significantly better — we should produce more of it.”

“This concept generates views but does not convert — we need to change the approach.”

“Viewers are dropping early — the next video needs a stronger opening.”

“This format works particularly well on this platform — let's produce content specifically for it.”

Secondary Social Platforms

You will also manage our presence on mainstream and creator platforms such as:

• YouTube
• Instagram
• TikTok
• Patreon
• Other relevant social networks and communities

These platforms are secondary to our adult-platform distribution, but remain important for brand awareness, community building and audience acquisition.

You will adapt the content and communication strategy to the rules and audience of each platform.

Website Management

Website management is also a secondary responsibility.

You will:

• Keep our websites and landing pages up to date
• Upload news, images, videos and promotional material
• Make basic changes using CMS and AI-assisted tools
• Monitor website traffic and acquisition sources
• Coordinate with our developers when technical changes are required

Programming skills are not required.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience in digital content distribution, social media, content strategy, growth marketing or audience development
• Strong understanding of video-platform algorithms and recommendation systems
• Ability to understand what makes a video perform
• Strong analytical skills and confidence working with performance data
• Creative ability to propose new video concepts and formats
• Understanding of CTR, watch time, retention, engagement, thumbnails, hooks and conversion
• Ability to translate analytics into concrete creative decisions
• Ability to work closely with video editors and creative professionals
• Ability to manage multiple platforms independently
• Very good written English
• Strong organizational skills

Previous experience with adult entertainment platforms is a major advantage.

Experience in video games, digital entertainment, creator platforms or performance marketing is also valuable.

The Profile We Want

This is not a video-editing position and it is not a conventional social-media posting role.

We are looking for someone who combines three abilities:

• Content intuition — understanding what people want to watch.
• Analytics — understanding what the performance data is telling us.
• Distribution — understanding how to make content perform on different platforms.

You will help determine what we produce, our video editor will produce and edit it, and you will then publish, analyze and optimize the results.

The objective is to build a continuous process in which every publication teaches us how to make the next one perform better.

Working with Adult Content

Our games and a significant part of our promotional content are designed for adult audiences (18+).

• The position therefore involves regular professional exposure to sexually explicit material. Applicants must be comfortable working with this type of content as part of a professional video game and digital entertainment business.
