Taltran Global has been exclusively engaged by a privately held real estate investment and operating platform led by a highly respected, industry-known owner and investor with a decades-long track record of building one of the most notable legacy property portfolios in the U.S., with significant holdings across the East Coast.

The firm is in an exciting stage of transition and evolution, actively repositioning its portfolio toward higher cash-flow markets in the Southeast while optimizing a long-standing and highly successful real estate platform. With a lean but highly experienced structure and long-tenured external partners, this is a rare opportunity to step directly into a right-hand role to the owner and help shape the next phase of the business.

You will work directly with the owner and key advisors while helping drive portfolio strategy, leasing execution, cash flow optimization, and investment decision-making across a complex multi-asset real estate portfolio.

Responsibilities:

The Chief Operating Officer will provide broad operational and strategic leadership across the company's real estate holdings and related business activities. This individual will be expected to operate with a high degree of independence and help translate the owner's objectives into actionable strategies and measurable results. The position is based in Southeast Florida with some periodic travel.

• Act as the right hand to the Owner/President, supporting all strategic and operational decisions
• Oversee day-to-day real estate operations across the full portfolio
• Drive portfolio strategy and cash flow optimization (6-8% target yield)
• Help lead the company's strategy for 1031 exchanges and geographic repositioning, including the transition of selected Massachusetts assets toward Southeastern Florida
• Source, evaluate, structure, and execute acquisitions, dispositions, and investment opportunities
• Oversee leasing strategy, negotiations, and renewals across all asset types
• Manage asset performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting (actual vs. budget)
• Lead or support refinancing, recapitalizations, and lender relationships
• Oversee external partners including brokers, attorneys, accountants, and property managers
• Improve operational systems, reporting, and internal infrastructure across a lean platform

What We’re Looking For:

• 8-15+ years of experience in real estate operations, asset management, investments, or development
• Strong experience in leasing, lease negotiations, and portfolio management
• Exposure to 1031 exchanges, acquisitions/dispositions, and capital structuring
• Strong financial acumen across cash flow, ROI, and asset-level decision-making
• Experience working directly with owners or senior leadership
• Ability to thrive in a lean, entrepreneurial, high-autonomy environment
