Content & Brand Strategist
Indexed description
TIS is a Berlin-based, PE-backed B2B fintech scaling its product and brand presence across two core motions: PayHub for enterprise treasury and Cash Forecasting for mid-market. As the company grows, content and brand work has outgrown what one strategic marketing leader can carry personally — and we're looking for someone to take real ownership of it.
This is a strategic, hands-on role for someone who can pick up the weight of content planning and execution, and who is comfortable directing freelancers and agencies and also producing things solo. You won't have direct reports yet, but you will be the strategic anchor that keeps content and brand work coherent, on-brief, and moving without needing constant senior oversight.
You'll work closely with the Head of Strategic Marketing, Product Marketing, and the wider go-to-market team, and you'll be the day-to-day point of contact for our external content and brand partners.
Job requirements
- 5–8 years in content strategy, brand strategy, or content marketing, ideally in B2B SaaS or fintech.
- A track record of managing external agencies or freelance networks — briefing them well, giving feedback that lands, and holding a quality bar without micromanaging.
- Strong writing and editorial judgment, with the ability to flex tone across technical and commercial audiences.
- Comfort operating strategically and tactically in the same week — equally able to set a content roadmap and to roll up your sleeves when something needs to ship.
- A collaborative style: you'll work alongside Product Marketing and Content Marketing peers rather than above or below them, so this role rewards influence without authority.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Berlin; comfortable in a hybrid setup.
- Professional English required; German is a plus but not essential.
Job responsibilities
- Strategic content planning: build and maintain a content roadmap aligned to TIS's GTM priorities, reducing reliance on the Head of Strategic Marketing for day-to-day content decisions.
- Content execution oversight: take ownership of the content calendar, briefing, and quality bar — covering blogs, whitepapers, case studies, sales enablement assets, and campaign content — coordinating closely with Content Marketing.
- Brand stewardship: act as the strategic point of contact for brand-related freelancers and agencies, ensuring creative output is consistent, on-brand, and fit for purpose across channels.
- Agency and freelancer direction: brief, guide, and quality-control external partners (including our content agency) so they can work autonomously against clear strategic direction rather than requiring close supervision.
- Narrative consistency: ensure messaging stays aligned with positioning set by Product Marketing, adapting tone and depth for different personas (e.g. treasury, compliance, RevOps) without diluting the core narrative.
- Performance visibility: track what content is working, bring a point of view on what to double down on or retire, and report progress in a way that lets leadership stay informed without being in the weeds.
- Process ownership: bring structure to content operations — briefing templates, review cycles, asset libraries — so the function scales without bottlenecking through one person.
Job benefits
- Work remotely in an agile, innovative, and high-performing team.
- Enjoy a strong work-life balance with flexible working arrangements.
- Competitive salary and country-specific benefits.
- Invest in your growth with LinkedIn Learning and other training opportunities.
- Receive a payment to set up your home office.
