[Remote] Backend Engineer | Shape the Future of Scalable Content Systems

We’re looking for a Backend Engineer to join a growing product engineering team at a leading digital platform in Japan. Our platform serves millions of users and processes massive amounts of data daily, making scalability, reliability, and clean architecture central to everything we do.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and optimize backend systems using Java or Go
• Own features from architecture to deployment — and everything in between
• Enhance performance, reliability, and maintainability in high-load environments
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful product improvements
• Contribute to architecture decisions, tech evaluations, and long-term planning

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5+ years of backend development experience
• Proficiency in Java or Go (either is welcome)
• Solid knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases
• Strong engineering fundamentals and an agile, collaborative mindset
• Bonus: experience with microservices, Spring/JPA, gRPC/GraphQL, DDD, or DevOps
