Position Summary
The Data Acquisition (DA) Leader is responsible for leading and optimizing all Data Acquisition operations across Indonesia, ensuring the timely, accurate, and efficient collection of high-quality retail measurement data. The role is accountable for overall operational performance, financial management, people leadership, transformation initiatives, and stakeholder engagement within the market.
The DA Leader will lead a team of managers and field leaders, driving operational excellence, productivity, quality, compliance, and innovation. This role plays a critical part in supporting business growth by ensuring data acquisition capabilities align with evolving client, market, and organizational needs.
The successful candidate will be a strategic and people-focused leader who can navigate transformation, leverage technology, develop future leaders, and foster a high-performing culture while delivering operational commitments.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute the Data Acquisition strategy for Indonesia in alignment with market, regional, and global objectives.
Translate organizational priorities into operational plans and measurable outcomes.
Lead transformation and modernization initiatives to improve acquisition effectiveness, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability.
Operational Excellence
Ensure timely delivery of accurate, validated, and high-quality retail measurement data.
Lead end-to-end Data Acquisition operations, ensuring adherence to global standards, governance, compliance, and quality requirements.
Establish performance management processes and operational reviews to monitor service delivery, productivity, quality, and execution effectiveness.
Identify operational risks and implement mitigation plans to ensure business continuity.
Financial & Resource Management
Own market-level financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management for Data Acquisition operations.
Drive productivity improvements and resource optimization while maintaining service quality.
Ensure efficient workforce planning and deployment of resources to support business requirements.
Deliver operational commitments within budget while supporting sustainable growth.
People Leadership & Talent Development
Lead, coach, and develop a team of managers and field leaders to achieve operational and strategic objectives.
Build a diverse, inclusive, and high-performing organization that fosters engagement and accountability.
Develop succession plans and leadership pipelines to support future business needs.
Promote a culture of learning, development, and continuous performance improvement.
Stakeholder Management
Partner effectively with Commercial, Analytics, Product, Delivery, Technology, Finance, HR, and other functional teams.
Collaborate with regional and global stakeholders to align operational priorities and strategic initiatives.
Serve as a key operational representative for the Indonesia market, influencing decisions and driving cross-functional collaboration.
Maintain strong communication channels across all levels of the organization.
Technology & Innovation
Champion digital transformation and adoption of technology-enabled acquisition solutions.
Leverage automation, data insights, and operational analytics to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Continuously evaluate opportunities to simplify processes and enhance productivity through innovation.
Support implementation of global and regional transformation initiatives.
Compliance & Governance
Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, data quality frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain a strong control environment and reinforce operational governance standards.
Uphold health, safety, and security standards across all acquisition activities.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree required.
Advanced degree in Business, Management, Operations, Analytics, or related disciplines preferred.
Experience
Minimum 10 years of progressive operational leadership experience.
Minimum 4 years in a senior leadership role managing managers and large-scale operational teams.
Proven experience leading geographically distributed teams.
Experience managing operational budgets and delivering productivity improvements.
Demonstrated success driving business transformation and organizational change.
Experience working within data collection, retail measurement, market research, consumer intelligence, FMCG, or similar operational environments preferred.
