ABOUT NODEPLUS

NodePlus builds private AI and operations infrastructure for businesses that cannot send their data to the public cloud. We deliver the full stack: modern web applications, edge compute deployed on site at customer facilities, and privately hosted AI models running on our own hardware - including a purpose-built AI datacenter in Miramar, Florida.

We are proven in production. Our anchor customer, a multi-state regulated laboratory business, runs on NodePlus every day for ERP, compliance workflows, edge telemetry, and private AI assistants. We are now scaling that playbook to new customers, and we are hiring engineers who can both grow the platform and put it in customers' hands.

THE ROLE

As a Full-Stack Platform Engineer you will work hands-on across the NodePlus codebase and the customer deployment pipeline. This is a small-team, high-ownership role: the code you write ships to production quickly, and the systems you deploy run real businesses. You will divide your time between building product - web applications, APIs, and AI integrations - and deploying clients: provisioning edge devices, onboarding customer data, and standing up secure connectivity.

Location: Miramar, Florida (South Florida) preferred - hybrid considered. Full-time. Reports to the Founder / CTO.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Build and grow the platform:

- Design and ship features across our React and TypeScript front ends and serverless back ends.

- Extend our multi-tenant SaaS applications - ERP, analytics, and customer portals - with secure, row-level-isolated data access.

- Build and harden API layers, background jobs, and integrations spanning payments, banking, document processing, and third-party data sources.

- Contribute to our private AI stack: LLM gateway services, retrieval pipelines, model routing, and AI-assisted product features.

- Write tests, review code, and keep continuous integration and deployments green.

Deploy and support clients:

- Provision and ship Raspberry Pi-based edge compute devices to customer sites, including headless setup, secure mesh networking, and access-control configuration.

- Onboard new customers end to end: tenant provisioning, data migration, permissions setup, and go-live support.

- Instrument deployments with health checks, alerting, and remote-recovery paths so field devices stay reliable without a site visit.

- Troubleshoot production issues across the full stack - from a customer's on-site device to the database to the browser.

Operate like an owner:

- Practice ship-it discipline: merge, deploy, verify, and document in a single motion.

- Treat security as the default - least-privilege access, secrets hygiene, tenant isolation, and careful handling of regulated customer data.

- Help define the engineering practices of a growing team.

- Demonstrate team leadership by orchestrating multi-agent AI systems, guiding AI teams through operational challenges similar to human teams - such as resolving merge conflicts, addressing blocking bugs, and navigating stakeholder decisions - to maintain continuous workflow momentum.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Required:

- Lengthy professional software engineering experience shipping production applications, with a track record of recognizing systemic problems in multi-project development environments, identifying solutions, and driving agentic teams toward them.

- Strong TypeScript and React; comfortable with Tailwind CSS and modern component libraries.

- Substantial PostgreSQL experience, including schema design and query performance. Familiarity with row-level security is a strong plus.

- Experience with serverless or edge platforms such as Cloudflare Workers or Netlify.

- Fluency on the command line and with Git-based workflows: branching, pull requests, and CI/CD.

- Working knowledge of Linux administration - you can SSH into a headless device, diagnose it, and script its setup.

- Clear written communication. Much of our coordination is asynchronous and documented.

Strongly preferred:

- Networking fundamentals: VPNs and mesh networks (Tailscale or WireGuard), DNS, TLS, firewalls, and access-control lists.

- Hands-on experience with LLM applications - API integration, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, or local model serving with Ollama, vLLM, or similar.

- Supabase or Firebase experience, particularly authentication flows and policy-based authorization.

- Raspberry Pi or other embedded and edge Linux deployment experience.

Nice to have:

- Python for data pipelines and automation.

- Docker and Windows service management in mixed-OS environments.

- Exposure to GPU and inference infrastructure.

OUR STACK

React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, pnpm, Netlify, Cloudflare Workers, Supabase (PostgreSQL, row-level security, and authentication), GitHub, Raspberry Pi edge nodes, Tailscale mesh networking, and a private AI serving layer - local LLMs, embeddings, and retrieval - backed by our own GPU hardware.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

- Base salary: $130,000 to $200,000, depending on experience and depth across the stack.

- Equity: 0.25% to 1.00% in stock options, with standard four-year vesting and a one-year cliff. As an early engineering hire at a funded, revenue-generating company, your grant is sized to matter.
