Summary

We are seeking a Windows Systems Administrator to support and maintain the company’s Windows server, Microsoft 365, cloud, and IT infrastructure environments. This role will handle system administration, troubleshooting, deployments, monitoring, and escalated technical issues. The administrator will also support infrastructure projects and help improve system reliability, security, and performance.
Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, Microsoft 365, and related infrastructure.
• Support Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory, Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, and Intune.
• Configure, deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot servers, systems, applications, and cloud services.
• Manage user access, permissions, group policies, and system configurations.
• Monitor system health, performance, availability, and capacity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve escalated infrastructure and system issues.
• Support virtualization, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
• Assist with Azure and other cloud infrastructure administration.
• Plan and complete infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and technology projects.
• Maintain system documentation, procedures, inventories, and knowledge base articles.
• Serve as an escalation point for Service Desk and other technical support teams.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of Windows systems administration or IT infrastructure experience.
• Hands-on experience supporting Windows Server and Active Directory environments.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, Teams, or Intune.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or similar platforms.
• Working knowledge of networking concepts, including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Experience troubleshooting servers, applications, system performance, and infrastructure issues.
• Experience with system monitoring, backup, recovery, and patching.

Preferred

• Microsoft, VMware, CompTIA, Cisco, or similar industry certifications.

This is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity with our Lenexa, KS client.
