Systems Administrator

About the position:

Maintains and supports the integrity of the operating system environment and various computer systems. Performs systems maintenance tasks, such as system back-up, recovery, and file maintenance to promote uptime and efficient performance. Acquires, installs, and tests system software upgrades and computer components. Configures software and resolves technical problems. Maintains documentation of IT infrastructure and troubleshooting procedures.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of systems and network administration experience.
• Experience supporting enterprise application production environments.
• Experience with Azure and AWS cloud services.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 and Entra ID.
• Experience supporting security investigations and operational incidents.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cloud & Infrastructure Operations
• Administer Microsoft Azure and AWS infrastructure.
• Manage virtual machines, networking, storage, backups, and disaster recovery capabilities.
• Monitor platform health, performance, and capacity requirements.
• Perform infrastructure upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Identity & Access Management
• Administer Entra ID and Microsoft 365 services.
• Manage MFA, Conditional Access, privileged access, and identity governance controls.
• Support SAML, OIDC, and federated authentication integrations.
• Perform access reviews and support onboarding/offboarding processes.
• Systems Administration
• Manage Windows and Linux server environments.
• Troubleshoot operating system, networking, storage, and application issues.
• Maintain DNS, certificates, security configurations, and server hardening standards.
• Production Application Support
• Support infrastructure used by business-critical applications and services.
• Partner with development teams on deployments and architecture improvements.
• Assist with modernization initiatives, database migrations, and platform transformation projects.
• Security Operations
• Investigate security alerts and suspicious activity.
• Support vulnerability remediation and patch compliance.
• Assist with incident response and root-cause analysis activities.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure security controls.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

• Salary is commensurate with experience (Insert Band) and paid twice monthly via direct deposit. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith.
