Coltech has secured a major cloud transformation programme with a fast-growing FinTech, and we are looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to join the project.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a high-impact engineering environment, helping to build, automate and operate the cloud infrastructure supporting mission-critical financial products used across Europe.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable GCP infrastructure.
• Manage and optimise Kubernetes environments across development and production.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Build, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines to support automated software delivery.
• Monitor and improve the reliability, performance and availability of cloud environments.
• Support cloud security initiatives, including IAM, networking and access controls.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment issues across production environments.

Experience

• Strong commercial experience working as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer or Site Reliability Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with GCP.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes, ideally GKE.
• Proven experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience with Docker and containerisation.
• Good understanding of cloud networking, IAM and security.
• Experience supporting and troubleshooting production cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of automation, deployment and infrastructure management.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
