Lead Full Stack Node.js Engineer

We're Hiring: Lead Software Engineer – Full Stack / Node.js / AI-Enabled Engineering

Location: New Jersey – Hybrid (Required) Experience: 5–7+ Years

AGM Tech Solutions is seeking a highly skilled, hands-on Lead Software Engineer to join an innovative engineering team developing next-generation products.

We're looking for someone who brings more than just technical expertise. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver who can think critically, work independently, take ownership of complex challenges, and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable full-stack applications using Node.js, React, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Build high-performance backend services, APIs, and responsive frontend applications.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimize application and database performance.
• Take ownership of engineering challenges, evaluate technical trade-offs, and drive solutions independently.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and contribute to CI/CD automation and best practices.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering efficiency and code quality.

What We're Looking For:

• 5–7+ years of software engineering experience with strong hands-on Node.js or Java development and React expertise.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down ambiguous technical challenges and articulate effective solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, make sound technical decisions, and proactively drive initiatives without constant direction.
• Experience designing highly available, scalable applications using SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Strong understanding of software design principles, test-driven development (TDD), debugging, and performance optimization.
• Experience with Docker, Jenkins, and modern CI/CD practices.
• Proficiency in an additional programming language such as Java, Python, Go, or C#.

Preferred Experience:

GraphQL, distributed SQL databases, cloud-native development, DevOps, and AI-assisted software engineering.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role. We are looking for an engineer who can demonstrate strong coding ability, independent decision-making, and the critical thinking required to solve complex problems—not someone focused solely on architecture or team management.

Candidates must be available to work a hybrid schedule in New Jersey.
