Compensation & Benefits: In line with our commitment to transparency and people development, the gross annual salary (RAL) for this position ranges between €31.000,00 and € 44.000,00 commensurate with experience and skills. The position is covered by the 'CCNL Commercio e Terziario' (National Collective Labor Agreement for Commerce and Service Sector), alongside a benefits package that includes meal vouchers, wellbeing initiatives (including Wellhub), and growth opportunities.

Role and responsibilities 🎯

We are looking for a Google System Engineer with an IT background who will manage IT cloud-based infrastructure projects and services.

As a Google System Engineer, you will work on complex projects for customers, architecting, building, operating, and migrating cloud-based infrastructure on Google Cloud and other environments.

You will be responsible for the following activities:

• Install, configure, test, and maintain server operating systems, application software, and cloud infrastructure to host applications;
• Plan, design, and deploy cloud architectures across public, private, and hybrid environments, ensuring alignment with business requirements and scalability needs;
• Support the implementation of proactive monitoring solutions to ensure system stability and prevent issues before they occur;
• Monitor cloud system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resources for efficiency and reliability;
• Resolve issues related to cloud environments used by customers, including diagnosis and resolution of IT infrastructure problems and related add-ons;
• Use trouble ticketing tools to manage, track, and resolve incidents following best practices;
• Ensure security of data and access to computer systems by implementing security protocols, managing backups, and ensuring compliance with industry standards;
• Collaborate closely with developers, system administrators, architects, and vendors to integrate cloud solutions and support enterprise applications;
• Provide technical support to users, resolve cloud-related issues, and maintain disaster recovery procedures;
• Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies, best practices, and industry trends to support continuous improvement and innovation.

Required Skills 🛹

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields; advanced degrees are a plus;
• Proficiency with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure, including cloud-native applications and serverless computing;
• Knowledge of programming and/or scripting languages, system administration, networking, DevOps tools, and automation;
• Relevant certifications such as Google Cloud Professional and Microsoft Azure Administrator are considered a plus;
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills;
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
