Senior AWS Cloud Developer / Architect

Pay Range: $55 - $65/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop production-quality services, APIs, and integrations using modern engineering practices.
• Design and implement AWS solutions utilizing services such as ECS, Fargate, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, S3, RDS, and DynamoDB.
• Mentor developers and promote consistent cloud, integration, security, and operational engineering practices.
• Support production incidents and conduct root-cause analysis and technical debt reduction.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete architecture and security reviews.
• Define non-functional requirements for latency, throughput, availability, and disaster recovery.
• Lead code reviews, technical design reviews, and performance tuning efforts.
• Create and maintain architecture diagrams, API contracts, and operational runbooks.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, including 4 years in designing and operating AWS solutions.
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as ECS, Fargate, Lambda, API Gateway, Event Bridge, SQS, SNS, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, and CloudFormation.
• Strong background in observability using CloudWatch or comparable tools.
• Experience with infrastructure as code using CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Familiarity with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL or SQL Server.
• Expertise in designing REST APIs and understanding event-driven and distributed-system design.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS networking, IAM, VPCs, and load balancing.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD, Jira, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of AI-assisted operational tooling or data lakes
