ApplinX Web Developer

Location: Jackson, Mississippi

Work Arrangement: Onsite – No Remote Option


About the Role: We are looking for an experienced ApplinX Web Developer to support the maintenance and modernization of web applications associated with legacy systems.

The consultant will work closely with the MDHS team to maintain existing ApplinX web modernization solutions, implement limited enhancements, test and deploy changes, and provide knowledge transfer to internal staff.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with ApplinX, Java, JSP, modern web technologies, web services, and legacy application modernization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and support ApplinX-based web applications.
  • Support ApplinX modernization solutions implemented for legacy applications.
  • Work with ApplinX servers, Designer seats, applications, web applications, and NATAPX hosts.
  • Collaborate with customers and business stakeholders to understand and formulate business requirements.
  • Implement, test, and deploy application changes and enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot application and production issues.
  • Follow software development and integration best practices.
  • Provide knowledge transfer to MDHS staff.
  • Develop and maintain web solutions using Java, JSP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Work with web services and integration technologies such as SOAP/REST.
  • Participate in Agile development and QA/testing activities.


Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in Java development.
  • Hands-on experience developing and maintaining ApplinX solutions.
  • Experience with ApplinX Version 11 or later.
  • Strong experience working with customers/business teams to gather and formulate requirements.
  • Knowledge of Agile software development.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Strong programming experience in Java or Microsoft .NET.
  • Experience with JSP and related services.
  • Experience with SOAP/REST web services.
  • Experience with Adabas.
  • Strong analytical skills for developing well-performing web applications.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Experience with QA/testing approaches.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SQL Server
  • Experience with Jira Software
  • Agile development experience
  • Experience with SCL
  • WebLogic experience would be helpful
