Cloud Architecture & Strategy

• Design and architect enterprise cloud solutions across AWS and Azure.
• Define cloud platform standards, reference architectures, and engineering best practices.
• Evaluate application requirements and recommend appropriate hosting models, including Kubernetes, containers, serverless, and platform services.
• Support cloud adoption initiatives while ensuring scalability, security, and operational sustainability.

Platform Engineering

• Architect and manage Kubernetes platforms, including EKS, AKS, ECS, and container services.
• Develop reusable Infrastructure as Code modules using Terraform and cloud-native tooling.
• Create self-service platform capabilities that enable application teams to deploy and manage workloads efficiently.
• Establish engineering standards for cloud platform onboarding, deployment, and lifecycle management.

Cloud Operations & Reliability

• Drive operational excellence through automation, monitoring, observability, and incident response processes.
• Partner with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to improve service availability, resiliency, MTTD, and MTTR.
• Implement operational runbooks, automated remediation, and continuous improvement practices.
• Support production platforms and ensure high availability of business-critical services.

DevOps & Automation

• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Git-based workflows, and cloud-native deployment processes.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, compliance, and deployment activities.
• Promote DevOps and platform engineering practices across development and operations teams.
• Reduce manual effort through automation and infrastructure standardization.

Observability & FinOps

• Architect monitoring and observability solutions using tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, and enterprise observability platforms.
• Define and implement dashboards, alerts, SLIs, SLOs, and reliability metrics.
• Support cloud cost optimization initiatives through FinOps practices, capacity planning, and resource governance.
• Provide visibility into platform health, utilization, and operational performance.

Security & Governance

• Ensure cloud solutions comply with enterprise security, networking, IAM, and governance requirements.
• Partner with security teams to implement cloud guardrails and compliance controls.
• Review platform architectures for resiliency, risk management, and operational readiness.
• Promote secure-by-design architecture principles.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture, platform engineering, or DevOps engineering.
• Deep expertise in AWS and Azure services.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS, AKS), containers, and cloud networking.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform.
• Experience implementing observability platforms and operational monitoring solutions.
• Strong understanding of SRE, DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud operating models.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Solutions Architect Professional and/or Azure Architect certifications.
• Experience building enterprise AI/ML or cloud platforms.
• Experience leading cloud transformation and modernization initiatives.
• Knowledge of FinOps, platform engineering, and Site Reliability Engineering practices.
• Experience supporting multi-cloud enterprise environments.
