Data Engineer

We are partnering with a nationally recognized technology solutions provider that is looking to add a data engineer to the team. They have a strong engineering-first culture and long-standing enterprise customer relationships. This is an opportunity to work on complex Azure data platform projects, leading migrations and implementations while partnering directly with clients to deliver modern data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design Azure-based data platform solutions for enterprise customers.
• Lead Azure Fabric migration and implementation projects.
• Implement Microsoft SQL and Azure Managed SQL environments.
• Migrate legacy data platforms into modern Azure architectures.
• Develop scalable data pipelines and integration solutions.
• Collaborate with customers to gather technical requirements.
• Troubleshoot and optimize data platform performance.
• Document solution designs, configurations, and best practices.
• Support customer deployments through implementation and handoff.
• Partner with architects and engineering teams on project delivery.
• Provide technical guidance throughout project lifecycles.
• Stay current with emerging Microsoft data technologies.

Required Skills

• Must live in Portland, Seattle, Salt Lake City, Denver, Spokane, or Phoenix
• 5+ years of Data Engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Fabric.
• Strong Microsoft SQL Server administration and development experience.
• Experience with Azure Managed SQL.
• Proven Azure migration and implementation experience.
• Experience delivering post-sales consulting or professional services engagements.
• Strong understanding of Azure data platform architecture.
• Experience working directly with enterprise customers.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
