System Engineer

The Role

• Lead the development, authoring, and lab validation of complex technical instructions for a critical air traffic management system.

• Translate complex system changes into step-by-step procedures for technicians.

• Work directly with stakeholders in lab environments to test and validate procedures before operational deployment.

• Evaluate, configure, and troubleshoot Linux/Unix operating systems, enterprise networking, and virtualization environments.

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and government stakeholders to resolve technical discrepancies.

• Manage the lifecycle of technical documentation, ensuring proper version control and approval processes.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

• 5 to 8+ years of progressive engineering experience, with a focus on systems administration, infrastructure testing, or developing deployment instructions.

• Robust hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting Linux/Unix systems.

• Deep working knowledge of virtualization environments (e.g., vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, KVM) and virtual networking.

• Practical understanding of IP networking, routing protocols, and network topology diagnostics.

• Familiarity with supporting air traffic management or civil aerospace infrastructures.
