We are looking for a DevOps Architect / Consultant to modernize the development and deployment process for Oracle PL/SQL applications in a large enterprise environment. The role covers assessment of the current PL/SQL development, testing and deployment process, design of a target CI/CD and DevOps approach, and automation of quality checks and database deployments. Required are strong hands-on Oracle SQL / PL/SQL experience, practical CI/CD and DevOps knowledge, and experience with automated database deployment and Git-based workflows.

🚀 Project

  • assess the current Oracle PL/SQL development, testing and deployment process
  • compare the current setup with internal standards and best practices
  • design the target development and deployment process
  • automate quality checks and testing
  • design and implement automated database deployment
  • design CI/CD pipelines
  • integrate existing tools such as GitHub, Jira and SonarQube
  • evaluate options for using AI in development, testing, documentation and code review
  • use GitHub Copilot or similar AI tools
  • prepare a practical reference setup / Proof of Concept
  • document the solution and transfer knowledge to the internal team
  • lead technical workshops with developers and stakeholders

🎯 Skills

  • strong hands-on experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
  • practical CI/CD and DevOps experience
  • experience designing and implementing CI/CD processes for database applications
  • Git / GitHub-based development workflows
  • experience with automated database deployment
  • automated testing of database / PL/SQL applications
  • experience with CI pipeline technologies such as GitHub Actions or Azure Pipelines
  • SonarQube or a similar code quality tool
  • database migration / versioning tools
  • ability to design the target development and deployment process
  • ability to independently lead technical workshops and communicate with developers and stakeholders
