£60,000 – £80,000 + benefits | Hybrid/Remote first | Monthly Client-Site Travel

A leading UK technology and consulting organisation is looking for an experienced Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to join its growing engineering team.

The organisation delivers secure, technology-led solutions across a range of complex public sector and government projects, giving you the opportunity to work on technically challenging environments alongside experienced engineers, consultants and technical specialists.

The Role

We’re looking for a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to work across a variety of client engagements, helping to design, build and support secure, scalable cloud environments.

The role is heavily focused on AWS, DevOps automation, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and containerisation, with plenty of opportunity to work hands-on with modern cloud technologies and solve complex engineering challenges.

You’ll also have the opportunity to work directly with clients, contribute to technical decisions and provide guidance and mentoring to other engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable AWS cloud infrastructure
• Develop and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines
• Deploy and manage containerised applications using Kubernetes
• Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation or similar
• Automate deployment, monitoring and operational processes
• Support the secure development, deployment and operation of software products
• Work closely with development and engineering teams to improve delivery processes and platform capabilities
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud and infrastructure issues
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other engineers
• Work directly with clients to understand requirements and solve complex technical challenges
• Contribute to Agile delivery practices including Scrum and Kanban
• Keep up to date with emerging AWS technologies and DevOps best practice

What We’re Looking For

• Strong hands-on AWS experience
• AWS infrastructure and core cloud services
• Kubernetes and containerisation
• CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling
• Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform or CloudFormation
• Linux and cloud infrastructure
• Automation and scripting
• Monitoring, logging and operational tooling
• Agile engineering environments
• Working directly with customers or technical stakeholders
• Mentoring or providing technical guidance to other engineers

You don’t need to have experience across every technology listed - strong AWS and DevOps fundamentals are key.

Security Clearance

Due to the nature of the clients and projects involved, you’ll need to be eligible to obtain and maintain UK Security Check (SC) clearance.
