About the Company

Orion Innovation is looking for an experienced Harness DevOps Architect to define, architect, and implement enterprise-scale CI/CD Gold Standards using Harness. We are looking for a hands-on architect who can go beyond architectural documentation and actively design, build, conduct POCs, implement, troubleshoot, and standardize CI/CD solutions across enterprise engineering teams.

About the Role

Harness DevOps Architect – Columbus, OH

• Location: Columbus, OH – 5 Days Onsite
• Experience: 12+ Years
• Level: Senior / Principal Architect

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise CI/CD architecture, Gold Standards, reference architectures, and governance using Harness.
• Design and implement Harness CI/CD pipelines and reusable pipeline templates.
• Build hands-on POCs and reference implementations.
• Implement Blue/Green, Canary, Rolling, and Progressive Delivery strategies.
• Integrate Harness with GitHub Actions, Black Duck, Eggplant, ServiceNow, Jira, Terraform, OpenShift/OCP, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Establish DevSecOps controls and security gates within CI/CD pipelines.
• Define CI/CD patterns for Kubernetes, microservices, cloud-native applications, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Assess and modernize existing platforms such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and GitLab.
• Establish reusable frameworks and drive enterprise adoption across engineering teams.
• Define and track CI/CD engineering and delivery metrics.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on Harness CI/CD experience – Mandatory
• Enterprise CI/CD architecture and implementation
• DevOps / DevSecOps
• Kubernetes / OpenShift (OCP), Docker
• Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
• Git and Pipeline-as-Code
• AWS and Azure
• Jenkins, Azure DevOps and/or GitLab
• CI/CD security and enterprise tool integrations
• Python/Bash scripting and automation
• Hands-on POC and production implementation experience

Important: This is not a documentation-only architecture position. We are specifically looking for someone with hands-on Harness expertise who can architect solutions, build pipelines, demonstrate POCs, implement production solutions, and drive adoption.

Preferred Skills

• Experience modernizing existing CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and GitLab.
• Experience driving enterprise adoption of reusable CI/CD frameworks.
