Application Packaging & Deployment Specialist Hybrid)

We're hiring an Application Packaging & Deployment Specialist to join our team in Columbia, SC. This role offers a hybrid schedule, with onsite work required Tuesday through Thursday.

Work Authorization: Sponsorship is not available for this role; no C2C or third-party candidates. Candidates must be able to work on our W2.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to obtain a low-level U.S. security clearance, which requires a thorough background screening and U.S. citizenship
• Solid understanding of Windows 11 OS architecture, application lifecycle, registry, services, and security constraints
• Demonstrated success delivering secure, scalable, and automated software deployment solutions through expertise in scripting, application packaging, endpoint management, and virtual application delivery platforms
• Strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting with demonstrated experience developing automation solutions for software deployment, system administration, endpoint management, and operational process improvement
• Proven experience administering one or more enterprise endpoint management platforms, including HCL BigFix, Microsoft Intune, or Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM); experience with multiple platforms is strongly preferred
• Hands-on experience creating, modifying, troubleshooting, and maintaining MSI packages, transforms (MSTs), and silent installation solutions for enterprise software deployment
• Experience packaging, installing, configuring, publishing, and supporting applications delivered through Citrix XenApp or Omnissa virtual application environments
• Solid experience supporting enterprise IT environments within a help desk or tiered break/fix support model, including diagnosing and resolving complex software issues, communicating effectively with customers, and collaborating across IT areas

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend daily/weekly status meetings and project touchpoints
• Script, test, and troubleshoot software installation automation
• Communicate with internal customers/vendors for troubleshooting or to determine project requirements
• Update request ticket status and document scripting solutions

Education/Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree; OR
• 4 years of job-related work experience; OR
• 2 years of job-related experience plus an Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate has a strong background in Windows OS architecture, scripting, and enterprise endpoint management. They should have experience with PowerShell, software deployment solutions, and virtual application environments, and possess excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
