Our financial services client is seeking a Python Developer on a daily rate contract basis in Dublin responsible for building and scaling a large ETL system in Python and no-SQL object databases which processes transactions from front office trading platforms to multiple back-office ledgers with volumes in the hundreds of millions every day.
About the Role
It's an initial 6-18 months daily rate contract on a hybrid basis (3 days per week on-site) in South Dublin working in a major financial services firm.
Responsibilities
- Designing and developing ETL systems.
- Working on investment banking applications, most likely in Foreign Exchange, Equities, Fixed Income, Commodities, Prime brokerage, and any other niche products.
- Assuming some architecture duties, including the development and maintenance of business and system architectures.
- Conducting complex technology and system assessments.
- Supporting and advising internal clients and technical management.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Python.
- Experience with no-SQL object databases.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in investment banking applications.
- Familiarity with various financial products.
