Windows Platform Engineer - 174987

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Windows Platform Engineer to support a company focused on enterprise IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and network operations within a large-scale Department of Defense environment. This position is 100% onsite in Norfolk, VA, Honolulu, HI, or San Diego, CA. The Windows Platform Engineer will support the administration, security, compliance, and reliability of enterprise Windows Server environments. Responsibilities for the Windows Platform Engineer include:

• Perform Windows Server patching, vulnerability remediation, and security compliance activities across enterprise environments.
• Build, configure, administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 systems.
• Support the full infrastructure lifecycle, including installation, configuration, monitoring, upgrades, maintenance, and decommissioning.
• Execute STIG remediation activities and ensure systems maintain compliance with security and operational standards.
• Collaborate with internal technical teams, customers, subcontractors, and vendors to resolve issues and improve system reliability and security.

Required Qualifications for the Windows Platform Engineer include:

• 2-5 years of experience supporting Windows Server environments, enterprise infrastructure, or systems administration.
• Experience with Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022, patch management, IAVA remediation, STIG compliance, and vulnerability mitigation.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Active Secret Security Clearance required.
• Current Security+ certification required.
• Ability to work an afternoon/evening shift, Tuesday through Saturday.

Compensation for the Windows Platform Engineer include:

Salary Range: 95,000-100,000 depending on experience
